Doppler Cow Studios is a boutique post-production facility located in Burbank, California. With our founders’ 30+ years of experience in post-production as well as in cinema technology, Doppler Cow Studios understands traditional post-house operations while being reliable, adaptable, and modern.
Doppler Cow Studios offers editorial, audio, and finishing services for film, television, and branded content all under one roof. We specialize in editorial services (online, offline, S&P), sound design, mixing (5.1, 7.1, Atmos), ADR, transcoding, restoration, localization, QC, and delivery to platform/networks. We also offer tape capture, film scanning, color correction, and translation services.
As a small studio, our team is fully invested in every detail of every project, creating an intimate environment to facilitate your creativity. Our goal is to make sure your project looks and sounds great and is delivered on time, all at a budget that works for you.
Danny Pickett

Danny Pickett has over 35 years of experience in the cinema industry.
Danny started as an usher for AMC Theatres transitioning to projectionist, then becoming the studio liaison for all studio screenings at AMC in Southern California. He was hired by THX/LucasFilm as a technician. Danny then into moved digital mastering for THX/LucasFilm supervising the restoration for Disney, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, and other studios. He was hired by 20th Century Fox to head up their new DVD/audio mastering department.
He was Director of Global Cinema for QSC for 15 years installing equipment in movie theatres around the world, postproduction facilities and high-end homes. Today, as owner of Doppler Cow Studios, Danny continues to bring his vast audio knowledge and experience to the industry.
Beth Figge

Beth has over 30 years of cinema industry experience. She began her career as Cinema Sales Coordinator for JBL Professional and spent several years as North American Sales Manager at Sony Cinema Products. Beth continued her cinema career at Dolby Laboratories helping Dolby to become the leader in Digital sound and theatrical presentations.
Today, she continues her dedication to the industry with Dolby promoting not only Dolby Atmos but also the complete audio line of products, including Dolby branded speakers. Beth’s broad range and long history in the cinema industry gave her a strong understanding of the importance of post-production. Doppler Cow Studios was a natural next step for Beth, she understands taking a filmmaker’s intent and translating it from post to theatrical exhibition. Beth proudly served on the board of ICTA from 2012 to 2025 and has been active in SMPTE and ISDCF.
Chris Poulsen

Chris Poulsen is a California native with over 30 years of experience in post-production, where he has built a career spanning operations, project management, client services, and digital servicing. Known for his ability to streamline workflows and support creative teams, Chris brings a steady, solutions-focused approach to every project he takes on.
Outside of his professional work, Chris is an avid cyclist and on weekends, you can often find him at Enegren Brewing Co., where he works on Sundays and connects with the local community over great craft beer.
Kyle Sands

Originally from Chicago, Kyle relocated to the west coast for college with the hopes of pursuing a career in film. He developed a deep passion for sound during his time at San Diego State University working as both an on-set sound recordist and a post-production mixer. Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in Television, Film, and New Media production.
In his free time you can typically find Kyle rock climbing, taking photos around the city, or trying to decide what the most low-effort dinner is because he forgot to defrost the chicken again.
Armin Nikravan

Armin Nikravan is a video editor based in Los Angeles with experience across narrative, documentary, and short form editing. He studied editing at DePaul University, where he built a strong technical foundation and deep appreciation of film history. His work is informed by hands on experience with 16mm, 35mm, and 70 mm film, including projection, splicing, and handling archival formats such as nitrate.
When he’s not in the edit suite, he’s likely watching Arsenal FC at the Fox and Hounds, alongside a dedicated community of supporters, no matter how early the kickoff.
Kevin DeRijck

Kevin DeRijck brings over 30 years of experience in cinema sales, service & exhibition to the Doppler Cow team.
Kevin was Vice President of Sales for Cinematronix where he focused on the rollout of digital projectors & servers in their customers transition to digital from film. In 2017, Kevin acquired majority interest in Cinematronix from Kevin Eagle, became the CEO and Principal Owner. Cinematronix is Canada’s largest Cinema Dealer & Integrator servicing over 2000 screens across Canada on a daily basis.
